The Baumgarten-Kobelweg-Runde

The Baumgarten-Kobelweg round is an approx. 5 Kilometer-long Nordic walking tour, which leads through the beautiful Faulenbach valley and has an easy claim. Along the way await a picturesque lakes, exciting nature stations and a real picture book landscape to melt down.

Nordic walking from Scandinavia spares the joints and is one of the healthiest sports ever. If you also move within a real dream landscape, then the sporting activity becomes an absolute pleasure and a lot of fun. The Baumgarten-Kobelweg-Runde presented here leads through the Faulenbach valley, which is a largely car-free scenic gem with lots of greenery and six picturesque lakes. The valley belonging to the Füssen district of Bad Faulenbach offers the best relaxation conditions and promises an all-round successful tour with many beautiful impressions. The approx. 5 Kilometer-long Baumgarten-Kobelweg round takes just under an hour and a half and its starting and finishing point is the mini golf course Bad Faulenbach at the end of the Alatseestraße. If you are arriving by car, follow the signs in Füssen towards Bad Faulenbach and stay there on the Alatseestraße until you reach the parking lot on the right at its end. Alternatively, the vehicle can also be parked in the nearby Morisse car park.

You start at the parking lot at the miniature golf course and reach the Stadtpark Baumgarten via the Morissesteig. Here you follow the path to the gate at the Hohe Schloss, which is the landmark of Füssen and one of the best preserved medieval castles in Bavaria. In front of the gate it goes left in a loop back to the Kobelweg. On this you follow a little bit of the Kobel above the ice stadium Füssen, before finally turning left into the Faulenbacher valley. Here in this green oasis, where almost no cars are on the road, Nordic walking is really fun. You cross the Alatseestraße and continue on to Mitter- and Obersee.

Both Mitter and Obersee are popular swimming destinations in summer. The natural pools here have marked non-swimmer areas, large lying meadows, cabins, playgrounds and cozy cafes that invite you to stop. If you want, you can combine the Nordic walking tour on warm days with bathing fun. At the Obersee there is also a Kneipp spa, which invites you to enjoy wellness in harmony with nature. There is a treadmill, a fountain, a treadmill and several changing rooms.
