Winter vacation in Fussen

The picturesque Fussen in the Allgau, with over 800 meters above sea level Bavaria's highest town, is a worthwhile vacation destination all year round - but you can spend your winter vacation there especially well.

Fussen is located in the Allgau Konigswinkel and offers a beautiful winter landscape with views of the snow-covered Alpine panorama. A network of about 50km of cleared winter hiking trails invites you to discover the surrounding area. For example, hike from the old town of Fussen with its medieval flair to the world-famous royal castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau.

Skiers will also find optimal conditions in Fussen. Well-prepared slopes for beginners or advanced skiers are ready and waiting. At the Adlerlift and the Reithlift there is even a floodlight system, so that skiers can be active here even at night. A snow-making system makes winter fun independent of the weather.

Cross-country skiing fans also get their money's worth in Fussen. There is a network of cross-country ski trails about 60 km long in Fussen alone, not counting the surrounding area. Here, too, there are enough cross-country tracks for beginners as well as for advanced skiers. The ADAC recommends Fussen as a top region for cross-country skiers.

Last but not least, of course, snowboarders have been thought of. The Tegelberg winter sports arena and a new boarder park at the Adler lift leave nothing to be desired for fans of this winter sport. There is also an ice skating rink, including skate rental and skating lessons. Or watch the traditional club EV Fussen at one of its ice hockey games.

A romantic landscape, fairytale castles, plenty of winter sports opportunities and, of course, the Hotel Sonne**** with warm Allgäu hospitality, offer optimal conditions for a wonderful winter vacation in Füssen.
