Cross-country skiing at Hopfensee

During a winter holiday in the Allgäu, numerous charming trails await you around Füssen, which invite you to cross-country skiing within a magnificent snow landscape. Start and finish point of this circuit, which is ideal for beginners and suitable for both classic cross-country skiing style and skating technology, is the campsite Hopfensee at the eastern entrance, where parking is available. There you strap on the skis to run in the next good half hour through a winter dream landscape of the finest. Enjoy the views over vast white meadows on the magnificent Allgäuer mountains. The „H1“ Signposted flat trail leads towards the Heidelsbuch and around the “beautiful book” back to the starting point. The village hops on the lake belonging to Füssen is a recommended excursion destination in winter anyway. Around the eponymous hop lake there are excellent conditions for relaxed winter hikes in the cold months.
