The Breitenberg near Füssen

For Pfronten (approx.) 10 Min. from Füssen away) in the Ostallgäu stands the 1838 Meter high Breitenberg. The summit of the Tannheim mountains is a popular destination in both summer and winter and offers numerous sports and leisure opportunities.

The Breitenberg is popular with nature lovers, active athletes and sun worshippers alike. It is also called the "large solar terrace of mountain nature'. The reason for this is probably the many rustic huts on the mountain, which on their sunny terraces provide fantastic views of the surrounding pre-Alpine landscape. In the cold season, this Ski area Breitenberg-Hochalpe for a lot of fun in the snow with young and old. It is considered the largest and snow-secure ski area in the Ostallgäu and has 8 km of well-prepared slopes, from easy to challenging. A funpark also offers snowboarders everything the heart desires. A special highlight on Breitenberg is the longest natural toboggan run in the Allgäu, which 6 1/2 km long Ostlerforstweg. For cross-country skiing friends, numerous trails are waiting around the Breitenberg And if you like it a bit more cozy, you can also do a guided winter hike with wild feeding. A state-of-the-art four-seater chairlift and various lifts open up the ski area and to après ski or to relax in between, invite the cozy mountain huts.

Also in the warmer seasons you can do a lot Breitenberg. Here nature shows itself from its most beautiful side and hikers, mountaineers and mountain bikers get their money's worth. In particular, mountain hikes are very popular here, e.g. the relatively easy tour from the mountain station of the Vierer chairlift Hochalpe to the summit of the mountain. Paragliding and dragon flying is also very possible from Breitenberg.
