Other important customs in Füssen are the annual Corpus Christi procession and the erection of the Maibaum, which takes place every few years. The Feast for 1. May is organized by local associations. Also the Starkbierzeit, the fifth season of Bavaria, is of course celebrated in Füssen. From Ash Wednesday to Good Friday you can get this special drink in the restaurants of the region.
